Biochemical testing for allergies
In the vast majority of cases, various types of allergic reactions occur in the context of helminthic infestations, as well as in the presence of impaired function of the liver, pancreas, and other digestive organs, accompanied by an excessive immune response of tissues and organs to a specific allergen. Allergy-related investigations can be divided into identification of a specific allergen using skin testing methods — scarification, patch, and elimination tests; a complete blood count (CBC), where a specialist may observe an indirect marker of allergic inflammation in the form of eosinophilia; and biochemical blood analysis, which allows assessment of functional disturbances in internal organs.
